Roman Reigns and his crowd reaction has been one of the hottest topics so far in 2016. Some members of the audience love him and others hate him. As we head into WrestleMania 32 and a crowd of likely over 100,000 people, one of the biggest storylines is going to be the crowd reaction to Roman Reigns. In a recent interview with Brian Fritz of SportingNews.com, Reigns touched on his crowd reaction and compared himself to John Cena.
On if his reaction at WrestleMania 32 will be negative:
“It will be probably both. I get a pretty good mixed reaction but whatever I’m doing, they seem to be pretty loud. So whether it’s cheers or boos, that’s what one thing I can typically count on. They’re going to be stirred up no matter what”
On if there is such thing as a true babyface anymore, also compares his reaction to John Cena:
“I think it’s tough. We had Daniel Bryan who’s just a phenomenal performer. Everybody was behind him, just a great underdog. And how could you not cheer a guy like that? But then we do have situations like myself and guys like John Cena who do get that mixed reaction. I think it’s just a part of it now. Everybody has an opinion. Everybody has a right to voice their opinion. I think that’s what’s so great about this. It’s not necessarily who’s getting cheered 100% or who’s getting booed the whole time. We agree to disagree and we all just have fun and everybody goes in it to get what they want out of this. It’s really just entertainment. It’s a performance. It’s a story that we tell. If you’re down for the roller coaster ride, please come out and have fun. You paid your hard-earned money; let’s go out, make some noise and make it exceptional”

I personally can’t wait for WrestleMania 32 to hear the reactions both Triple H and Roman Reigns receive. I think when it comes to guys like Roman Reigns and John Cena, they do receive mixed crowd reactions. Controversy does create cash and people have tuned in so far to watch the rollercoaster ride that is Roman Reigns and his crowd reaction. Until people in large numbers cancel their subscriptions, I don’t know if the WWE cares to rectify it.
Let me know your thoughts on Roman’s comments.
