Rumor Roundup: WWE’s Plan For Pat McAfee, More ‘RAW Legends Night’ Surprises, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) The Plan For The WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning to move the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony to Wrestlemania 37 weekend.

It also seems like it will be a virtual ceremony. Here is what Meltzer wrote:

Right now, as far as WrestleMania is concerned, the plan is to do the Hall of Fame ceremony with the planned 2020 inductees, which were John Layfield, Dave Batista, Davey Boy Smith, Jushin Liger, The Bella Twins and the NWO of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman. It’ll probably be a virtual ceremony but those decisions depend on a number of factors.

My Take:

  • This makes sense as there is no need to do two classes. The virtual ceremony will be weird but could still be fun.

4) More Names Possibly Appearing At ‘RAW Legends Night’

According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), a few additional names are being discussed for ‘RAW Legends Night’. This includes Teddy Long, Ron Simmons, and Molly Holly.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

WWE has dozens of legends coming in for their Legends night, and Fightful has heard of a couple of more at least under consideration internally.  Teddy Long, Ron Simmons and Molly Holly were all discussed for the show. We are unsure if they’ve come to an agreement to appear as of yet, but all are on good terms with WWE and the company was hopeful to bring them in

My Take:

  • It sounds like this is going to be a loaded episode. I can’t wait!
