Rumor Roundup: Upcoming Plans For The Universal Title, Another Banned WWE Term, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Creative Freedom For Daniel Bryan

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Daniel Bryan has a lot of creative input into his current storylines on Smackdown.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

“When it comes to Daniel Bryan, a lot of what happens with him is very much up to him because he’s on creative and everything. A lot of things with him is very much how he wants it done.”

My Take:

  • Bryan seems to have a great mind for the business, so this is great news. Especially since he is working with Roman Reigns right now. I can’t wait to see more from both of them.

4) Banned WWE Term

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has banned the term ‘Codebreaker’.

Here is what he wrote:

Asuka made a hot tag and hit a codebreaker, which, by the way, is a term the announcers are banned from using.

My Take:

  • This isn’t surprising as WWE likely doesn’t want fans to think of Chris Jericho. Still, I don’t think it is going to work as fans know the move pretty well.
