STING ON IF HE’S DISAPPOINTED HE LOST BOTH HIS WWE PPV MATCHES

Sting made a huge impact when he appeared on WWE television for the first time ever in 2015. It was a debut that was years in the making for WWE fans and incredible to see him. For all the hype that came along with him, we never really got to see Sting win any high profile matches. At WrestleMania 31, Sting lost to Triple H and at Night of Champions, Sting lost to Seth Rollins.

In a recent interview with IGN, Sting talked about his two WWE PPV matches and how they ended:

“Just fantastic. Awesome. Incredible. It was WrestleMania and Triple H. And a lot of fans, if I understand what you’re trying to say here, sort of feel “Are you kind of disappointed that you lost two times?” No, I’m not. I look back and say “Wow, great opponent in Triple H. Biggest stage and platform of them all.” You know, wrestling fans remember me wrestling there. I don’t think they’re walking away thinking it sucked because I should have won. Maybe for a minute. But more so they’ll remember that I was at WrestleMania. And then to have a world title match against Seth? Wow. I’ve been world champion many times, so it didn’t bother me”

I think the only problem I had was him losing to Triple H. I don’t think Triple H needed the win and it would have been a great thank you to Sting for an incredible career. Regardless, I enjoyed Sting’s run with the WWE and he is an absolute legend!
