Rumor Roundup: Major Plans That Were Scrapped For Drew McIntyre, Ronda Rousey Update, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Wrestlemania 37 To Have A Full Crowd?

It was announced recently that the state of Florida will begin to allow full capacity attendance for stadium events. According to @Wrestlevotes, Vince McMahon has been privately hoping to host a full capacity Wrestlemania. Here is what the account wrote:

This comes after the rumor that Wrestlemania 37 will be moved from Hollywood to Tampa Bay.

My Take:

  • Wrestlemania at a full capacity sounds like a really dumb idea. Let’s hope that somebody talks Vince out of it.

4) Ronda Rousey’s WWE Future

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ronda Rousey’s contract with WWE is set to expire in 6 months.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

Rousey’s WWE deal is slated to expire on 4/10/21, based on a statement WWE gave to TMZ in January 2019.

This would mean Rousey’s WWE contract, unless an addendum or a new contract was quietly signed at some point, would expire in about six months.

My Take:

  • I hope that Ronda comes back and faces Asuka. That is still a match that I really want to see. Ronda vs Becky Lynch is also one that I want to see happen but it is unclear if Becky will be back in time for it to happen.
