Rumor Roundup: The Original Plan For Otis’ Cash-In, New Plans For The WWE Hall of Fame, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) The Plans For The WWE Hall of Fame

Due to COVID-19, WWE was not able to induct the 2020 class into the Hall of Fame on Wrestlemania 36 weekend. This class includes names like Batista, JBL, British Bulldog, the Bella Twins and the NWO.

According to @Wrestlevotes, WWE has a new plan for how they are going to induct them. The account says that WWE is now planning to induct them on Wrestlemania 37 weekend, which means that they will be changed to the class of 2021.

My Take:

  • This makes the most sense. You want the Hall of Famers to have a great celebration and there is no need to rush into it. We will just have to skip the 2020 class due to outside circumstances, which I think everyone will understand.

4) Pressure Backstage About The ‘WWE ThunderDome’

Some unwanted imagery came up on fans’ screens during recent shows in the WWE ThunderDome. This includes a KKK photo and an apparent execution video. According to journalist Tom Colohue, this has led to a lot of pressure backstage on the WWE production team.

WWE is working hard to make sure that anything like this does not happen again. Here is what Colohue had to say:

These particular uses by the fans has apparently led to fury backstage with multiple sources stating that the production team and public relations teams have been under immense pressure to ensure that every single screen is constantly being monitored. Several days ago, the instruction was to make sure every screen has something on it. That instruction has apparently changed now that it’s clear what is being placed on screen.

My Take:

  • I have enjoyed the ThunderDome so far but I was definitely fearful that stuff like this would happen. People can be terrible and I hope that WWE is able to clean it up.
