Match Pulled From Smackdown & Segment Announced

This week’s episode of Smackdown will be an interesting one. This comes after the news that multiple people in WWE have tested positive for COVID-19.

WWE is no longer advertising the match between AJ Styles and Drew Gulak for the episode. That match has been pulled from their website.

WWE is now advertising a tribute to the Undertaker for Smackdown, where they will be re-airing the ‘Boneyard match’ from Wrestlemania 36. Here is what WWE wrote:

A special “Tribute To The Undertaker” this week on SmackDown

The carnage of the Boneyard Match pitting The Undertaker against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 is accentuated by Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls” in this scene from chapter five of Undertaker: The Last Ride.

With the WWE Universe still buzzing over the final chapter of WWE Network’s groundbreaking documentary Undertaker: The Last Ride, SmackDown will feature a special “Tribute To The Undertaker” this Friday night.

As part of the special recognition, the astonishing Boneyard Match between The Deadman and AJ Styles will air on television for the first time. As Superstars, legends, celebrities and fans have expressed their support for the sports-entertainment icon, the blue brand now gets to share the same message: Thank you, Taker.

Join SmackDown in honoring The Undertaker and much more in another action-packed Friday night on FOX at 8/7 C.
