Rumor Roundup: Unique Match Planned For Extreme Rules, Another WWE Superstar Switching Brands, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Tag Team Replaced In Smackdown Feud

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Forgotten Sons are being replaced by Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro. This is for their current feud with The New Day.

This comes after Jaxson Ryker generated some heat within the WWE locker room for his pro-Donald Trump Tweet. Here is what Meltzer wrote:

Nakamura & Cesaro are replacing The Forgotten Sons in a planned program with The New Day. It’s unfortunate because the comments by Jaxson Ryker, which both Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake immediately and publicly distanced themselves from, has led to all three of them being taken off television. And Cutler & Blake were the team in the ring as Ryker was used more in an outside interference role.

My Take:

  • I have said this before but I feel bad for Wesley Blake. The guy has been in WWE developmental for so long and finally got his big chance. I hope he is able to bounce back because he seems like a hard-working guy.

4) Some People In WWE Thought The Forgotten Sons Debut Was A Bad Idea In The First Place

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are people in WWE who didn’t think The Forgotten Sons should have been called up to the main roster in the first place.

This is because of their gimmick. Here is what he wrote:

There are those who felt the gimmick itself wasn’t the right thing in these turbulent times.

My Take:

  • I was never a big fan of the group. Nothing against them but the gimmick didn’t really click for me.
