5) Many Superstars Want To Work With AJ Styles
According to journalist Tom Colohue, a lot of Superstars want to work with AJ Styles.
When Styles was first on Smackdown (a few years ago), many Superstars requested to move to the brand to work with him. Here is what Colohue said:
A lot of people really want to work with AJ Styles. One of the reasons so many people wanted to move over to SmackDown when he was there was to work with AJ Styles.
Triple H, Vince McMahon got a lot of requests to move to SmackDown when Styles was on that brand.
My Take:
- I hope AJ Styles wins the Intercontinental Title and brings back the weekly open challenges. There is some potential for some incredible matches, especially with WWE’s new rule where Superstars can switch brands.
4) Possible Reason Why Matt Riddle Didn’t Go To RAW
There is some speculation floating around that Matt Riddle went to Smackdown instead of RAW because Brock Lesnar dislikes him.
Here is what Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live about the situation:
“The strange thing about this is that Paul Heyman is a big fan of Matt Riddle so you’d think he’s going to RAW, but this Matt Riddle/ Lesnar deal — I mean it’s weird like I’m sure there are aspects of it who are people that are just encouraging Matt Riddle to do what Matt Riddle does, but on the other side this, if anything else should tell you that this is legit because if they were trying to work together to build something up for a match I mean Matt Riddle goes to RAW.”
“Lesnar’s not around it’s not like he can say I’m not gonna share a locker room with him. Lesnar probably won’t be around until they’re running shows with fans again.”
My Take:
- I am not sure about this rumor. I doubt Brock cares enough but you never know.
