Rumor Roundup: Vince Planning Monster Push For New Superstar, New WWE Faction, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around. Make sure to take rumors with a grain of salt as always.

5) New WWE Faction

According to WrestlingNews.co, the plan is for MVP to lead a faction of underutilized Superstars on RAW. Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne are already aligned with MVP and they look to be the first two members.

The site also says that Apollo Crews might join the faction. This comes after the rumors that WWE is planning to turn Crews heel:

Another thing I was told (and this could be related to Crews) is that there has been a push to make MVP a manager of a stable. I was not told that Crews would be in the stable but it would make sense if the idea is that MVP wants to show Crews and other underutilized wrestlers that they can be top stars as long as they follow his guidance.

My Take:

  • MVP is pretty funny on the mic, so I don’t mind him staying on television. I also don’t know how I feel about Apollo as a heel but I am willing to give it a chance if it happens.

4) Why Edge & Randy Orton Were Brought Back To RAW

According to a rumor from Cageside Seats, there is a reason why WWE decided to bring back AJ Styles, Edge, and Randy Orton to RAW.

That reason is to help with WWE’s recent ratings drop:

The speculation is that names like Styles, Edge, and Randy Orton are being brought back early due to WWE’s ratings struggles.

My Take:

  • RAW definitely needs help after posting its lowest rating ever. It doesn’t seem like fans want to watch empty-arena wrestling and I don’t blame them. Now WWE is bringing in their bigger names to try and help. We will have to wait and see if it works.
