WWE Makes Big Changes To Upcoming Taping Plans

WWE has been airing taped episodes of RAW, Smackdown, and NXT as of late. According to some new reports, this will be changing.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported that RAW, NXT, and Smackdown will be airing live starting on Monday. Here is what he wrote:

Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Raw, Friday Night SmackDown and NXT will once again resume taping their shows live from the Performance Center starting next week.

Sources tell us the decision to go back to doing the shows live was made on Friday after filming 205 Live and Friday Night SmackDown. No word on what influenced the decision.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has corroborated the report from Satin. Here is what he wrote about WWE’s upcoming plans:

Although WWE initially planned to tape all of their April TV in advance over the next several days, PWInsider.com has confirmed that there have been changes made to that plan over the last day and as of tonight, most of the plans have been thrown out altogether.

WWE had planned to pre-tape episodes of Raw on Sunday and Monday, but that idea has been dropped and going forward, Raw will be broadcasting live from the WWE Performance Center.

We are also told that while tonight’s episode of Smackdown was taped in advance, the plan going forward is to broadcast that live on Fridays as well.

PWInsider.com has not confirmed whether the live weekly live broadcasts will include WWE NXT, which was slated to tape material tomorrow.  One source believed they would also go live, but we have not confirmed that to be 100% correct.
