Rumor Roundup: Why WWE Hasn’t Announced The Wrestlemania 36 Match Order, Gronk’s Role At The Event, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around. Make sure to take rumors with a grain of salt as always.

5) Gronk’s Role At Wrestlemania 36

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared what he has heard about Rob Gronkowski’s role as the host of Wrestlemania 36.

Meltzer says that he has been told Gronk “does things that you would not expect him to do” during the event (which has already been taped). While he doesn’t know exactly what Gronk did, Meltzer speculates that this means he is doing something physical at the event.

My Take:

  • My prediction is that Gronk beats up either King Corbin or Jinder Mahal. He has a history with both of them and I could see either of them being his first opponent when he actually does wrestle. I am definitely intrigued to see what happens though.

4) The Undertaker’s Current Health Status

According to journalist Tom Colohue, The Undertaker is in great shape heading into his match against AJ Styles at Wrestlemania 36.

Here is what Colohue said about ‘Taker:

The Undertaker is actually really fit at the moment. He’s on a very good training schedule. He’s had surgeries recently which have really helped his mobility. He’s not at his athletic peak but the Undertaker never wrestled as the Undertaker to his athletic peak. He could always do a lot more than he was doing.

My Take:

  • Maybe this is a hint that The Undertaker will be wrestling more often for WWE over the next year? If the coronavirus pandemic clears up over the next several months, maybe he competes at Summerslam? I wouldn’t mind seeing AJ Styles vs The Undertaker in a traditional match (aka not a Boneyard match).
