On Smackdown this week, WWE confirmed a triangle ladder match for Wrestlemania 36. It was scheduled to be The New Day vs The Usos vs John Morrison & The Miz. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear as if this match will be happening as originally planned.
It was reported on Friday that The Miz did NOT wrestle at Wrestlemania 36. The event was taped in advance and it was reported that The Miz was pulled from the event due to illness.
According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, WWE will still be doing a ladder match. Instead of the three teams though, it will be John Morrison against one of the members of The Usos:
On Friday, The Miz was confirmed as being pulled off the show due to illness which nullified the planned SmackDown tag team title defense. However, our Dave Meltzer is reporting that Miz’s partner John Morrison will face one of the Usos in a ladder match instead.
Smackdown this week was taped in advance, which is why WWE didn’t make any changes. As a result, it is likely that WWE changes this match on next week’s episode of Smackdown. It is also unclear where The New Day fits into all of this. WWE could use one of their members for the ladder match but there has been no word yet on their statuses for the event.
Would you still be down for John Morrison vs Jimmy or Jey Uso? Let me know in the comment section below.
