Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Support For Bray Wyatt
According to Tom Colohue, the match that we are going to see between John Cena and The Fiend is “very much Bray’s baby”. This means that a lot of the match will likely be based on Bray’s ideas.
Colohue also says that Bray has a lot of support from John Cena and he has even taken his ideas to WWE management. Here is what Colohue had to say:
I did mention on the Sportskeeda podcast last Thursday that we may be seeing multiple different elements. They are obviously shooting things in a lot of different directions and we may be seeing both Bray Wyatt and The Fiend involved in some regard here, that seems possible, if not necessarily likely here.
I’m excited to see where John Cena fits into this because obviously he has always had Bray Wyatt’s back and he’s interested in having Bray Wyatt do more things like this, in much of the same way Randy Orton was for a long time. So this is very much Bray’s baby, but John Cena has taken it to management on Bray’s behalf as much as Bray has.
My Take:
- This goes along with the rumor that Cena vs The Fiend is going to be filmed like a movie, instead of a traditional wrestling match. It will be interesting to see what they come up with.
4) Update On The Rumors Of WWE PPV’s Taking Place On ESPN+
Over the past several weeks, there have been some rumors that WWE was interested in selling their PPV rights to ESPN+. We have an update for you.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the deal between WWE and ESPN is now dead. This comes after a report last week that suggested WWE and ESPN were far apart on money.
My Take:
- I am happy that this is not happening. It would be a hard sell to get fans to pay more after we have had the WWE Network for so long.
