Rumor Roundup: Early Plans For Summerslam, Original Wrestlemania Plans For The Revival, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) The Original Plans For The Revival At Wrestlemania 36

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Revival was originally penciled in for a match at Wrestlemania 36.

Prior to their recent contract issues with WWE, there were plans for them to be involved in a multi-team match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Wrestlemania 36:

At one point they were part of a multi-team SmackDown tag team title match at WrestleMania, but so much has changed on the SmackDown side. No word if they’d be in the Battle Royal or not.

My Take:

  • My guess would be The Revival vs The New Day vs The Usos vs The Miz & John Morrison as the original plan for ‘Wrestlemania. That would have been an awesome fatal 4-way.

4) Why WWE Changed The Name Of Jeff Hardy’s Signature Move

On Smackdown this week, Jeff Hardy defeated King Corbin. Many fans were confused when Michael Cole referred to the ‘Twist Of Fate’ during the match as the ‘Twist Of Fury’.

According to Matt Hardy, this change was WWE’s call and had nothing to do with him. This comes after rumors started to float around that he stopped WWE from using the name:

My Take:

  • The new name will definitely take some time to get used to.
