Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Angel Garza’s Future After His RAW Debut
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Angel Garza is not sticking around RAW for the long-term.
WWE brought him in as a replacement for Andrade while he is suspended and he is expected to go back to NXT when Andrade is back. Here is what Meltzer said (h/t to Ringside News for the quote below):
“For right now [Angel Garza] is here because Andrade failed a drug test and they needed something. That’s what he’s here for. I know he should stay and he may, and there’s no rule that he has to go back [to NXT], but right now the idea is that he’s still gonna be on both shows and he’s an NXT guy, but he’s a fill-in for 30 days now.”
My Take:
- Angel Garza vs Humberto Carrillo will be a fun match when it happens. I also wouldn’t mind seeing Garza vs Andrade at some point.
4) New WWE Signing
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Timothy Thatcher has signed a contract with WWE.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
Timothy Thatcher is currently at the WWE Performance Center and has signed a WWE developmental deal, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Thatcher started with the company this week.
Thatcher, 36, has long been a talent that WWE has been interested in but had previously turned down overtures from the company. William Regal and Canyon Cemen had both had Thatcher on their radar in recent years.
Best known for his work in EVOLVE, Thatcher has been a world traveled veteran who has competed for WXW in Germany, Revolution Pro in Great Britain, PWG and MLW in the United States and many other promotions. As an in-ring worker, he’s in the top tier out there currently, so this is a tremendous signing for the company.
Thatcher first being at the WWE PC was initially reported by Squared Circle Sirens.
My Take:
- I haven’t seen too much of Thatcher, so I am excited to go back and watch some of his matches. It sounds like he is a great talent so this seems really good for WWE.
