Here are some of our predictions for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
7) The Miz & John Morrison Will Win The #1 Contenders Match
WWE has confirmed a #1 contenders match for Smackdown this week. It will be The Miz & John Morrison vs Heavy Machinery vs The Revival vs Lucha House Party. The winning team will face off against The New Day at WWE Super Showdown for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles.
This should be a fun match. I am going with Morrison & The Miz winning here. They are already feuding with The New Day, so this makes the most sense.
This will officially confirm The New Day vs Morrison & The Miz for WWE Super Showdown.
6) Bayley Will Start A New Feud With Carmella
Bayley defeated Lacey Evans at the Royal Rumble to retain her Smackdown Women’s Championship. I have a feeling that Bayley will now be moving on to a new feud.
I am going to predict that Bayley will start a new feud with Carmella during the episode. This could be a nice feud for both over the next few weeks.
I don’t see Bayley vs Carmella happening at Wrestlemania 36, so a feud over the next several weeks could make sense.
5) WWE Will Continue To Tease A Split Between Mandy Rose And Sonya Deville
WWE seems to be teasing some tension between Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose. Otis has found himself right in the middle of things and I expect this storyline to continue on Smackdown this week.
During the Royal Rumble match, Sonya got thrown onto Otis and Mandy, which caused both ladies to be eliminated from the match. I could see Mandy and Sonya arguing on the episode this week about what happened during the Rumble match. I could also see Sonya getting mad at Mandy for letting Otis distract her so much as of late.
Either way, I see WWE continuing to plant seeds towards a potential split between them.
