Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) WWE Is Testing Out A New Tag Team
Tony Nese and Mike Kanellis have been working as a tag team at NXT live events as of late.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE is planning to potentially use this team on television moving forward:
Tony Nese and Mike Kanellis are teaming on this weekend’s WWE NXT live events as a test run for a potential team that could be used regularly on WWE NXT TV, PWInsider.com has learned.
The duo teamed last night in Melbourne, Florida, defeating Nick Ogarelli and Mohamed. It was Kanellis’ first WWE bout since publicly asking for a WWE release last October, a release that was not granted.
My Take:
- Both guys are floundering right now so this could be the best thing for them. I am definitely intrigued to see how they do as a team.
4) The Big Show’s Future On RAW
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE does not have long-term plans for the Big Show on RAW.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
The Big Show return is only planned to be temporary, as they needed a babyface to team with Joe & Owens for a brief period of time. Mysterio was supposed to be the third person in that feud but they are working the short-term Mysterio vs. Andrade program until they work their way out of it. Originally, and this doesn’t appear to have changed, the idea was for Andrade to have a longer very serious program over the title with Carrillo as a way to get both guys over as singles Latino stars. But now with Murphy being added to the Rollins group, they are again one short on the face side
My Take:
- I am okay with this. It was good to see The Big Show for a few weeks but I don’t need to see him every week. I would rather one of the younger talents get the TV time.
