Rumor Roundup: Multiple Options Open For Wrestlemania 36, Big Match Scrapped For Lars Sullivan, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Rumor On Becky Lynch At The Royal Rumble

Becky Lynch will be defending her RAW Women’s Championship against Asuka at the Royal Rumble PPV. This will be the second year in a row that they will be facing off at the event.

According to Cageside Seats, Becky is not expected to pull double duty at the Rumble. Last year, she competed against Asuka and appeared in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Here is what the site wrote:

Unlike last year, when she worked double duty, Becky Lynch isn’t expected to wrestle in the Royal Rumble this year.

My Take:

  • If that is the case, it means Becky Lynch likely won’t be losing her belt to Asuka at the PPV. Maybe we will see Asuka pull double-duty instead? We will have to wait and see.

4) Big Match Scrapped For Lars Sullivan

There have been plenty of headlines about Lars Sullivan over the past year. He is currently out with a knee injury that he suffered back in June.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE had some major plans for Sullivan that were scrapped. Here is what Sapp wrote:

There have been huge plans for Lars Sullivan, but injuries and other things have sidelined him. At one point, WWE had plans to build to a Brock Lesnar vs. Sullivan match, but that was early in 2019.

My Take:

  • I am not sure how Brock vs Lars would have been. Still, it is definitely an intriguing match since both guys are monsters and booked strongly.
