In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer noted that AJ Styles recently pitched a big match to WWE.
Specifically, Styles pitched a match for the O.C at Survivor Series this year.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
At TV this week, Styles pitched the idea of the OC against the Undisputed Era for Survivor Series.
However, it looks right now that if the match will take place on NXT television down the line, or on television somewhere since they shot the angle for it on NXT.
It is also rumored that WWE will do AJ Styles (United States Champion) vs Shinsuke Nakamura (Intercontinental Champion) vs Roderick Strong (NXT North American Champion) at Survivor Series. This match has NOT been confirmed yet though.
