Unfortunately, we are not getting Adam Cole vs Bray Wyatt vs Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Instead, WWE has announced that Adam Cole will be defending his NXT Championship at the event. Cole will be facing the winner of the triple threat match (at Takeover: WarGames) between Pete Dunne, Damian Priest, and Killian Dain.
I wanted to share my speculation on the upcoming plans for Cole at Survivor Series.
My gut says that Pete Dunne is going to win the triple threat match at WarGames. I am a fan of both Dain and Priest but I think that Dunne vs Cole makes the most sense for Survivor Series. Dunne is the only babyface of the trio and I think that him and Cole would put on the best match.
I think that it would be smart for them to use Survivor Series as a platform to show how good NXT is. Pete Dunne vs Adam Cole is a match that could steal the show and I think that it would be the best representation of what NXT is. As a result, I am going with Dunne winning the triple threat match.
If the match does happen, I am expecting Cole to win. There are still some amazing feuds waiting for him as NXT Champion. That includes with Finn Balor, Tommaso Ciampa, and more. As a result, I don’t see Cole dropping the Title just yet.
