Update On WWE’s Current Travel Issues In Saudi Arabia

As noted prior, WWE was having some travel issues after Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. As of early Friday morning, the majority of the WWE roster had not left the country yet.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has provided an update on the situation. He says that a lot of people in WWE are upset with what is going on. Here is what he wrote:

PWInsider has been told the “majority” of those delayed leaving Saudi Arabia for tonight’s Smackdown taping will not make the taping and are now at hotels in Riyadh.  We are told there is no word yet when they are now leaving to return to the United States.

WWE has made arrangements to try to get those “absolutely neccesary” for Smackdown to the taping, we are told.

There are a LOT of people within WWE upset about the situation, going as far up the ladder as you can imagine.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful added the following:

There were rumors among talent that Vince McMahon got in some kind of disagreement in Saudi Arabia, though I haven’t been able to fully confirm that.

Some that we’ve talked to on the flight are clearly annoyed and perturbed by the situation, while others aren’t so concerned, even saying “they’ll figure it out, because they always do.” So there’s hardly a unanimous temperature on the delays.

A few WWE stars have Tweeted about the situation, confirming their frustration:
