Here is a list of some WWE stars who have revealed who they would like to face at Wrestlemania 36.
Honorable Mention: Baron Corbin
I have to include Baron Corbin on this list. In an interview with Digital Spy, Corbin revealed his goal for Wrestlemania 36.
While he doesn’t reveal a specific opponent, Corbin says that he wants to be in a Championship match at the event:
“I want to be in a championship match at WrestleMania. So that’s the goal and I think being King Corbin I can get that done. I can achieve that, it puts me on a level that I can compete for a title at WrestleMania because I think that’s the next step up. I don’t want to move backwards or laterally, so I want to find a moment whether it’s taking the Intercontinental title from somebody, the U.S. title or the World Heavyweight. It’s what I want, and I want to be in that prime spot and to keep rolling.”
Corbin earns an honorable mention on our list because he didn’t specifically name someone. Still, I thought his comments were interesting enough to include.
10) Braun Strowman
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Braun Strowman revealed his aspirations to main event Wrestlemania 36.
Strowman also mentioned that he would like to face off against Drew McIntyre at the event:
“I will main event WrestleMania. Hopefully more than once on my way to a Hall of Fame career. I’ll start with a main event against Drew McIntyre, and I’ll tell you who will win: me.”
Braun vs Drew sounds like a fun match. With both of them now on separate brands, it would require one of them to be a Champion and the other to win the Royal Rumble match.
9) Matt Riddle
Matt Riddle is currently in NXT but he has some major aspirations for himself on the WWE main roster. Riddle has been very vocal about his desire to face off against Brock Lesnar one day.
Back in May, Riddle took to Twitter to challenge Brock Lesnar to a match at Wrestlemania 36:
Riddle has also mentioned in interviews that he wants to be the one to eventually retire Brock.
