Kevin Owens was fired by Shane McMahon on this past week’s episode of Smackdown Live. This came after Shane lost to Chad Gable, with Owens serving as the special guest referee. Here are some ways that WWE could go with this storyline.
5) Kevin Owens Moves Over To RAW In The WWE Draft
One way that WWE could go would be to keep Owens off television for a few weeks. During the 2019 WWE Draft, Owens could be drafted by Monday Night RAW.
What this would do is officially end the feud between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon. I am definitely not the only fan who is sick of this feud on Smackdown Live. I wouldn’t hate it if WWE were to cut their losses and have both guys move on. Drafting Owens to RAW would be an easy way to do that as it forces them apart.
This is an easy route for WWE to take if they want completely out of the storyline between Shane and Owens.
4) This Is Leading To Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens At Hell In A Cell
On the flip side of what I mentioned above, we could also see this lead towards another match between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon. This would likely take place at the Hell in a Cell PPV.
You would have to think that this Owens and Shane storyline has some sort of payoff. Maybe that payoff is Owens beating Shane at Hell in a Cell? That would mean the feud will continue on Smackdown over the next few weeks, ultimately leading to Shane vs Owens at the Hell in a Cell PPV.
If that match does happen, their feud needs to end after Owens wins. It has run its course and I think that it is time for both of them to move on. Maybe that happens after one more match between them?
