We have some rumors to pass your way about the current WWE announce teams. The RAW crew is currently Corey Graves, Michael Cole, and Renee Young. Smackdown features Graves, Tom Phillips, and Byron Saxton.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer teased a few potential changes that could be coming.
According to Meltzer, there are currently plans to split up the announce teams during the WWE Draft. This will give both RAW and Smackdown their own unique crews.
That means Corey Graves will likely end up being placed on one brand permanently. Which brand he will be on is currently unclear.
Meltzer also notes that FOX is extremely high on Renee Young. As noted prior, she will be hosting the upcoming WWE Studio show on FOX Sports 1. There is speculation that due to FOX being so high on Renee, she could end up exclusive to the Network (meaning that she would move to Smackdown). That is only a rumor at this point though.
We will let you know if we hear anything more. What do you think should be the announce teams on both shows? Let me know in the comment section.
On a related note, check out 5 matches that I think could main event the first episode of Smackdown on FOX.
