This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW featured a tag team turmoil match. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler defeated 7 other teams to win the match. As a result, they earned a RAW Tag Team Championship opportunity at Clash of Champions.
We have two rumors to pass your way about the tag team turmoil match that took place.
The first has to do with AOP (aka the Authors of Pain). According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, AOP was backstage for the episode but WWE decided against using them. Here is a quote:
“My understanding is that the Authors Of Pain were an option for last night and they decided not to use them, but there’s another team for you, the Authors Of Pain. Why are the Authors Of Pain not tag team champions?”
AOP was last seen in the battle royal at WWE Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia.
Another rumor has to do with the Viking Raiders. According to PWInsider, WWE originally had plans to use them in a squash match on RAW. At the last moment, they changed their minds and decided to use the Raiders in the turmoil match.
During the match, the Raiders and the O.C both got disqualified by the referee in charge. Due to the disqualification, they were both eliminated.
