Here are some of our predictions for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
7) Chad Gable Will Defeat Shelton Benjamin To Advance In The King Of The Ring Tournament
Chad Gable vs Shelton Benjamin has been confirmed for Smackdown this week. This will be a first-round match in the King of the Ring tournament.
I am going with Chad Gable winning here to advance in the tournament. I have Gable as this year’s underdog, so him winning here makes sense.
This should be a solid match for the episode. I hope that WWE gives them a decent amount of time.
6) Randy Orton And The Revival Will Injure Big E
I am really digging the Revival and Randy Orton working together. They recently took out Xavier Woods and I think that Big E will be next.
My guess is that Randy and the Revival target Big E during the episode. They will likely take out his leg, which will leave Kofi Kingston by himself.
Kofi will attempt to come to Big E’s aid but the numbers game will get the better of him. This will leave both of Kofi’s boys hurt heading into Clash of Champions. It makes sense for Randy to want to isolate Kofi from the rest of the New Day. It also makes sense for the Revival to want to injure Woode and Big E before their Smackdown tag team title match.
5) The Miz Will Get Attacked By Sami Zayn And Shinsuke Nakamura (Again)
The Miz was attacked last week by Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura. My guess is that it happens again on the episode this week.
I think that we are heading towards an Intercontinental Title match between Nakamura and the Miz. Another attack on the episode would help set that into motion.
I am interested to see where WWE goes with this pairing of Nakamura and Zayn. I am definitely intrigued by it.
