One of the marquee matches of Summerslam will be Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon. The stipulation is that if Owens loses, he is forced to quit WWE.
I have a theory about what I think will happen during this match.
My guess is that a few of Shane’s henchmen are going to attempt to interfere during the match. The likely two are Drew McIntyre and Elias, both of whom have been tied to Shane for the past few months. I don’t think this will lead to Shane’s victory though. My guess is that two other WWE stars are going to come out to even the odds for Owens.
The first person is Cedric Alexander, who has been feuding with Drew McIntyre for the past few weeks. It would make a ton of sense for Cedric to come out and take out Drew if he tries to get involved.
I also think that Chad Gable could come out and take out Elias. They recently started a feud on Smackdown, where Elias called Gable short. This could lead to Gable coming out to help Owens if Elias tries to get involved.
With Drew and Elias neutralized, this would lead to Owens defeating Shane. As a result, Owens would NOT lose his job.
