Roman Reigns was attacked in the parking lot on RAW this week. While he was about to talk to Samoa Joe, a car attempted to crash into him. On Smackdown this week, Roman’s attacker was revealed to be Rowan.
The rumor for the past few weeks has been that this is leading towards Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan at Summerslam. Some new speculation suggests that this could be changed to a tag team match.
It looked as if WWE may have turned Samoa Joe babyface on RAW. He showed a lot of concern after Reigns was almost hit by the car and tried to help him.
Wrestling INC speculates that we could be getting a tag team match at Summerslam, with Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns teaming up. Here is what the site wrote:
There has been some fan speculation that the mystery angles will lead to Joe and Reigns vs. Rowan and Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam, instead of the reported Bryan vs. Reigns singles match. Joe showed immediate concern for Reigns after the attempted attack, and looked as if he wanted to get revenge on the mystery driver.
My Take: I would actually like this as it would allow WWE to not rush into Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns. Babyface Joe could also be an interesting way to go.
