Right before Smackdown Live, WWE announced a new match for Summerslam. It will be Dolph Ziggler taking on the Miz.
A few weeks ago, Dave Meltzer reported that Ziggler would NOT be facing the Miz at Summerslam. After this match was announced, many fans took to social media to say that Meltzer was wrong.
He is now doubling down and saying that the Miz vs Dolph being announced is a ‘red herring’. If true, this means Ziggler will be facing someone else at Summerslam. Here is what he Tweeted:
Meltzer also teased that the change will be happening on RAW this week:
My Take: The only thing that makes sense here is Goldberg squashing Dolph in about a minute. Dolph has been taking some shots at Goldberg over the past few weeks and it would make sense for him to return to kick his ass. We will have to wait and see what happens.
