Most fans are likely familiar with Vince McMahon banning certain words and terms on WWE television. This banned list includes things like ‘belt’, ‘hospital’, ‘strap’, and more.
These banned words have been revealed over the years in various interviews with former employees and from backstage reports.
According to the rumor mill, we have another phrase to add to the list.
On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that ‘pre-show’ has been banned by Vince. Here is a quote (via Ringside News):
“It’s the kickoff show. That’s his new one. He hates ‘pre-show’ it must be kickoff show.”
My Take: This does not surprise me coming from the same guy who wants to call a hospital a ‘local medical facility’. It must be fascinating to work for Vince and to hear his reasoning behind some of these.
