Roman Reigns and a mystery partner faced off against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre on RAW this week. Roman’s partner ended up being Cedric Alexander, who was performing under a mask.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the original plans for the segment was for a local enhancement talent to be Reigns’ partner. Here is what Johnson wrote:
The original idea was Roman Reigns’ opponent on Raw was to have an extra portray the role but over the course of the day, there was a pitch for Cedric Alexander to do the spots instead.
He also added that WWE now has plans to follow up with Alexander and Roman Reigns on RAW this upcoming week:
We are told there will be a follow-up to Alexander’s involvement on Raw Monday.
