We have a rumor to pass your way about Matt Riddle. This rumor comes from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here).
According to Meltzer, WWE is not rushing Riddle to the main roster and it looks like he could be in NXT for a long time.
Here is what he said (h/t to Ringside News for the quote below):
“What I was told is that Matt Riddle is gonna be in there for a long time and they don’t wanna rush him into anything and they don’t need to rush him into anything so that’s the deal, but at one point it was gonna be Cole and Riddle.”
My Take: I definitely see Riddle as the next NXT Champion. I could see him taking the belt off Adam Cole down the road.
