Rumor On The Reaction Of The WWE Locker Room To The Current Creative Direction

WWE’s creative direction has been a hot topic of conversation for a while now. Dean Ambrose really got fans talking about it this week when he ripped WWE for their creative process on Talk Is Jericho. He cited it as the biggest factor in him leaving the company.

An earlier rumor suggests that many people backstage feel the same as Ambrose. This is in terms of disliking WWE’s current creative direction.

Dave Meltzer had an interesting comment about the WWE locker room on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here).

Here is what Meltzer had to say about WWE stars exploring their options (h/t to Cageside Seats for the quote below):

“There’s way more that you are not aware of. I would go so far as to say that there are very few people and you can count them on one to two hands, that have not at least inquired regarding what’s outside; including names that would shock you.”

My Take: It is definitely an interesting time to be a wrestling fan. It makes sense for WWE stars to explore their options the best that they can. I don’t expect a mass exodus but the game has definitely changed with AEW and I am excited to see what happens.
