Rey Mysterio’s son, Dominick, has been appearing on WWE television over the past few months. This includes getting involved in the recent feud between Mysterio and Samoa Joe.
We have a rumor to pass your way about the futures of both Dominick and Mysterio.
According to the Gorilla Position podcast, the rumor going around is that Rey wants to pass on his mask to Dominick at some point. Here is a quote (via WrestleTalk):
“Apparently what Rey wants is to pass the mask on. And that’s what he said to WWE that he wants eventually for Dominick to wear the mask.
He wants a match with Dominick where he loses and he passes the mask on.”
My Take: This would make sense as it was revealed several months ago that Dominick was training with Lance Storm. Maybe he has been training to take over the mask from his father one day? It would be a LOT to live up to but would be a way to keep his Dad’s legacy going.
