Dean Ambrose officially left WWE a few weeks ago. On May 1st, he released a video to hype the return of his old character, Jon Moxley.
Dean has now just landed a new movie role!
According to a report from Deadline, Ambrose will be appearing in the new
MMA-themed action feature Cagefighter.
Here is an excerpt of what the plot is going to be:
Currently in pre-production, the film tells the story of a lauded MMA champion who unexpectedly loses a heavily promoted match to a professional wrestling star making his crossover debut in the MMA fighting world. Humiliated by the defeat, he must fight his way back to the top and earn his place for a rematch.
The movie will feature Josh Herdman (Harry Potter), Michael Jai White (Universal Soldier), Gina Gershon (Face/Off), Michelle Ryan (Bionic Woman), and Jason Maza (Brotherhood). It will also feature MMA stars: Anderson Silva, Georges St Pierre, and Alexander Gustafsson.
