We wanted to pass along our face turn predictions for WWE in 2019. This means the Superstars who we think will turn babyface over the next several months.
Face Turn Predictions For WWE
3) Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev
When It Will Happen: As soon as possible.
The Smackdown Tag Team division is currently in dire need of some babyface teams. Now that the Hardy Boyz are gone for several months, there are no babyface teams left in the division.
I would turn Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura babyface and give them a run as tag team Champions. Fans love Rusev and I don’t think that they should have ever turned him heel. There is something about him that fans love and they want to cheer for him. As a result, a babyface turn would make sense for him.
I could see Nakamura and Rusev as a fun babyface team. I am sure that there would be some great segments between them if WWE took them in a more comedy direction.
Looking at the current tag team division, I can’t think of another direction for WWE to go. They need a babyface team and this might force WWE’s hand.
2) Sonya Deville
When It Will Happen: Over the next few weeks
It seems clear that WWE is going to be splitting up Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose soon. One of them will likely be turning on the other to set that into motion.
I think that it will be Sonya Deville turning babyface out of the two. This is because Mandy seems like the stronger heel.
I also think that Sonya has the potential to make a solid babyface. She is a vocal supporter of the LGBT community and I could see WWE using that as part of her babyface character.
My guess is that Mandy turns on Sonya over the next few weeks. It seems like they are already planting the seeds for this to happen.
