Bayley was defeated by Alexa Bliss on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Bayley and Sasha Banks also dropped the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships the night prior at Wrestlemania 35.
There has been a lot of speculation about Sasha and Bayley over the past few days. I wanted to pass along what I think will happen.
It was definitely weird to not see Sasha at ringside for Bayley’s match against Alexa. This definitely had fans thinking that WWE could be splitting them up in the Superstar Shake-Up. I actually don’t think that will be the case though.
I just can’t see how WWE can afford to split Sasha and Bayley up right now. Looking at the current WWE roster, they are desperately needed for the Women’s Tag Team division. Let’s take a look at the current teams:
- The IIconics
- Nia Jax and Tamina
- Natalya and Beth Phoenix (if Beth’s return wasn’t just for Wrestlemania)
- Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville
- The
Riott Squad
As you can see, the division is strongly lacking babyface tag teams. I don’t think that it makes sense to take away Sasha and Bayley. Without them, the only babyface team is Natalya and Beth. This would definitely be weird since Beth isn’t even full-time. Due to those reasons, I think that Bayley and Sasha will be sticking together as a team.
I could see both Sasha and Bayley being moved over to Smackdown but I don’t see them being split up as a team right now.
