WWE has a tendency to shorten the names of their Superstars. We have seen this recently with Andrade Almas, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and many more.
It appears as if WWE has officially changed the name of Mustafa Ali.
His profile on WWE.com is now referring to him as just ‘Ali’. Here is a screenshot:
