In my 2019 Superstar Shakeup predictions, I have AJ Styles moving from Smackdown to Monday Night RAW. I have put together 5 reasons why I think it would make sense for Styles to move over to the red brand.
5) Styles Has Nothing Left To Accomplish On Smackdown
Let’s start with the most obvious answer. There is nothing left for AJ Styles to accomplish on Smackdown.
Since being drafted to the blue brand in 2016, Styles has done it all. This includes winning the WWE Championship twice. He has also had two reigns with the United States Championship.
The only thing that he hasn’t won is the tag team titles and I don’t think that it is worth keeping him on the brand just to accomplish that.
A move to RAW would allow for Styles to go after both the Universal and Intercontinental Championships, which would both be fun. He has nothing really left to accomplish on the blue brand.
4) Styles Has Already Feuded With Most Of The Top Guys On Smackdown Already
To go along with what I said about Styles accomplishing everything, he has also feuded with the majority of the top guys on Smackdown.
That includes lengthy feuds with Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura, and more.
After his feud with Randy Orton, there is nothing more I really want to see from Styles on the blue brand. Maybe a feud between Styles and Rey Mysterio but I don’t think that’s worth keeping him on the blue brand for.
Let’s face it, Styles has feuded with most of the top guys on Smackdown already. WWE could move all of those guys over to RAW, or the easier solution would be to just move Styles. This could really help freshen things up on both brands.
