We have some news to pass your way about two NXT Superstars who are currently getting some great reviews from people within WWE.
This comes via a report from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here).
The first name mentioned as getting rave reviews backstage is Stacey Ervin Jr.
For those who don’t know, Ervin Jr. signed with WWE in 2018. Prior to signing with WWE, he was a very successful gymnast. He is also dating Olympic Gold Medalist, Simone Biles.
On a recent episode of NXT, Ervin Jr. tagged with Humberto Carrillo in a losing effort against The Street Profits. He is still new in the world of pro-wrestling, but is someone to keep your eyes on as he has impressed backstage officials already.
The second name mentioned is Eric Bugenhagen, who has been repackaged a few times since joining WWE in 2017. He recently lost to Drew Gulak on NXT television but the crowd went crazy for him.
Bugenhagen has become a fan favorite at Full Sail University and has also been also getting some rave reviews behind-the-scenes.
Keep an eye on both Ervin Jr. and Bugenhagen over the next several months. A similar report came out about Kacy Catanzaro several months ago and she ended up appearing in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
