Now that Samoa Joe is holding the United States Championship, I wanted to put together a list of some potential opponents for him at Wrestlemania 35.
7) Samoa Joe vs Aleister Black
As of right now, Aleister Black and Ricochet are involved in the tag team pictures on both RAW and Smackdown Live. I am not convinced that Black and Ricochet will be a long-term tag team. I think that they both have strong singles futures ahead of them and this will only be a short-term thing.
If they do split up, Samoa Joe vs Aleister Black could be a really solid match for the United States Championship. I would really like to see them face off since they are both known as great strikers.
Could be a solid match for the card. I would like to see them kick the crap out of one another.
6) Samoa Joe vs Andrade Almas vs Rey Mysterio
I don’t think that WWE would do a singles match between Andrade and Samoa Joe. Both of them are heels and I just can’t see them doing it.
A solid match could be Joe vs Andrade vs Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship. Rey and Andrade have been feuding forever and this could be another fun development.
I am sure that this could be a really good triple threat match if given the chance. I wouldn’t be upset if this ends up being the match at Wrestlemania 35 for the United States Title.
5) Samoa Joe vs Ricochet
Instead of Aleister Black, I could also see Joe facing off against Ricochet at the event. This would be another great match for the card.
I think that their styles would mesh well with one another. To my knowledge, I don’t think that this match has ever happened before.
This would be a major opportunity for Ricochet to showcase his talents to main roster fans. He won’t find a better opponents than Samoa Joe to help him look like a million bucks.
