Here are some of our predictions for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
7) The Miz Will Defeat Jey Uso
WWE has confirmed that the Miz will face off against Jey Uso on Smackdown Live this week. This comes a few days before the Smackdown Tag Team Championship match at Fastlane.
My guess is that the Miz is going to win. I think that we are heading towards The Miz vs Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania, so WWE is going to build up the Miz as a singles competitor.
My guess is that the Miz is able to defeat Jey Uso on the episode this week.
6) More Seeds Will Be Planted Towards AJ Styles vs Randy Orton At Wrestlemania
Last week on Smackdown, WWE teased a potential match between AJ Styles and Randy Orton. This came during a backstage segment where Orton interrupted Styles.
This week, I expect some more seeds to be planted for this match. I could potentially see Styles getting attacked backstage or something to set this into motion.
I think that after the episode, it will be clear that we are heading towards Orton vs Styles at Wrestlemania 35.
5) Asuka vs Sonya Deville Will Probably Happen
Asuka vs Mandy Rose has been confirmed for the Fastlane PPV. This will be for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
On Smackdown this week, I am guessing that Sonya Deville and Asuka will face off. This seems like something WWE would do since Sonya and Mandy are tag team partners.
My guess is that Mandy Rose interferes and attacks Asuka to end this one in disqualification. I wouldn’t have Asuka win clean as I think that she could face Sonya again on a later date.
