Rumor On The Original Plans For Alexa Bliss On RAW This Week

According to some rumors floating around, the script for RAW this week underwent several changes at the last-minute.

We have some rumors to pass your way about the original plans for Alexa Bliss on the episode.

Alexa didn’t appear on the show at all. It turns out that she was originally scheduled for a match.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Alexa was supposed to face Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship on the episode. This was going to be a quick squash, similar to Ronda’s match against Ruby Riott at the Elimination Chamber.

After Seth Rollins was not fully cleared, WWE needed a longer match from Rousey. They decided that a longer Ronda vs Ruby match would have been stronger than a longer Ronda vs Alexa match. That is why the change was made. Ronda ended up defeating Ruby and Alexa didn’t appear at all.

My Take: I am glad that WWE gave Ruby a longer match. I thought that she deserved better than being squashed at the Elimination Chamber. If this is true, it is interesting that Alexa was going to be squashed. That indicates that there might not be any big plans for Alexa at Wrestlemania 35.
