Speculation On The Plans For Becky Lynch After RAW This Week

Vince McMahon dropped a bombshell on fans at the end of RAW this week. Vince announced that Becky Lynch will suspended until after Wrestlemania 35. Not only that but Charlotte Flair will now be taking her place in the RAW Women’s Championship match against Ronda Rousey.

I wanted to pass along my own thoughts on what I think will happen and where this storyline is heading.

The obvious speculation is that this will now become a triple threat match at Wrestlemania 35. That is 100% happening. What I think is more interesting is how we will get to that triple threat.

My initial speculation from a few weeks ago was that Charlotte and Becky would face off at Fastlane. If Charlotte were to win, she would get added to the match at Wrestlemania. Now that Vince McMahon has swerved us all, I don’t see that happening anymore.

It feels to me that WWE is booking Becky like they did Daniel Bryan a few years ago. The odds were extremely stacked against Bryan at Wrestlemania 30 (and the months prior). As we all know, Bryan overcame the odds and won the WWE Title. I really think that WWE is attempting to do something similar here with Becky since she is receiving some incredible crowd reactions.

My idea is that Becky is going to face Nia Jax at Fastlane. If Becky wins, she gets added back to the RAW Women’s Championship match at Wrestlemania. In the weeks leading up to the match, Charlotte and Nia will likely attack the injured knee of Becky. This accomplishes two things. The first is that it stacks the odds even more against Becky, which seems to be the goal here. It also gives us the Nia vs Becky match that was set-up by the legitimate injury that happened before Survivor Series.

In this scenario, Becky would go on to defeat Nia. She would also go on to win the RAW Women’s Championship in the triple threat with Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey. Becky will have overcome all of the odds that were stacked against her. Wrestlemania 35 will close with Becky holding the Title. Sure, it isn’t the singles match that most fans wanted but it would still make for a really awesome Wrestlemania moment.
