There have been plenty of teases as of late for a potential Four Horsewomen vs Four Horsewomen match happening. This includes Sasha Banks flashing the 4 hand signal after losing to Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble.
For those who don’t know, this would be the MMA Four Horsewomen (Rousey, Marina Shafir, Shayna Baszler, and Jessamyn Duke) vs. the WWE Four Horsewomen (Sasha, Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Charlotte Flair).
We have the latest rumor to pass your way.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), WWE has no plans for the Four Horsewomen match anytime soon. Here is a quote (via Ringside News):
“Ronda actually cut a promo about the Horsewomen vs Horsewomen match. It was actually a good promo too. Right now as far as between now and WrestleMania there is no plans for that. It can change, but there’s nothing now you know so I had asked specifically.”
“I said, ‘it looks like they’re going that direction’ and Sasha really, really wants that especially and Ronda’s not opposed to it. You know those are her real friends, but it’s not in the cards the next two pay-per-views right now. It can change, but anyway.”
My Take: If it were up to me, WWE would do this match at Summerslam. This would give Shafir and Duke 7 more months to train and get in-ring experience. It would also be striking while the iron is still hot in regards to the Four Horsewomen feud.
