Ronda Rousey has had quite the first year in WWE. She started off with an incredible debut match at Wrestlemania 34. She has now held the RAW Women’s Championship for the past several months and has been putting on fun matches.
We have the latest rumor to pass your way on Ronda’s future.
This comes via Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here).
According to the report, the backstage feeling right now is that Ronda Rousey could be finished with WWE as a full-time talent after Wrestlemania 35.
Rousey has spoken in the past about wanting to start a family soon with her husband, Travis Browne. According to Meltzer, the working idea right now is that Wrestlemania 35 could be her finishing date with WWE as a full-timer.
If this does happen, Rousey will still be affiliated with WWE in some capacity. It is also possible that WWE puts her in a similar role to John Cena or the Undertaker where she comes back for the occasional match or two.
UPDATE: Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet added some additional information. He says that WWE agreed when signing Ronda that she could take time off if she wanted to start a family. According to Satin, Ronda told WWE around Survivor Series that she is looking to take that break after Wrestlemania. This is not set in stone though.
