Drew McIntyre has had quite the year since being called up to the WWE main roster. He has been involved at the top of the card on RAW for the past several months. It doesn’t look like that will be changing anytime soon.
So what could the Wrestlemania 35 plans be for the ‘Scottish Psychopath’? Let’s speculate a little bit.
Based on the year that McIntyre has had, I think a fair assumption is that he will be getting a big Wrestlemania match.
I think that we got a big hint this past week on Monday Night RAW. McIntyre interrupted John Cena’s segment and the two exchanged words. They ended up facing off in a 6-man tag team match but seeds were definitely planted for a singles match between them down the road.
I think that we will be getting McIntyre vs Cena at Wrestlemania 35. It seems like this is a big enough match to save it for the Wrestlemania stage.
The match makes sense to me. Cena putting over McIntyre in a singles match at Wrestlemania could be really big for McIntyre and his career moving forward. It also would be a fun match for the card (in my opinion at least). Current rumors suggest that McIntyre won’t be involved in the WWE Universal Title picture at Wrestlemania, so this would be a solid alternative.
