Two Rumor Killers On Kenny Omega’s WWE Contract Offer

Kenny Omega has the wrestling world talking right now. Many fans are wondering where he will end up. Will he stay with NJPW? Will he jump to WWE? Or, will he join his buddies in All Elite Wrestling?

There have been plenty of rumors about Omega over the past several days. Some of these rumors involve what Omega has been offered by WWE.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer cleared up one rumor that has been floating around.

According to Meltzer, the rumors of Omega being offered any sort of creative control by WWE are not true.

It was previously reported that WWE had recently made a ‘fantastic offer’ to Omega. Looks like we can cross off any sort of creative control from that offer.

Another rumor going around is that if Omega signs with WWE, he will debut in the Royal Rumble match. The feeling is that Omega’s contract with NJPW doesn’t expire until the end of January. As a result, Omega will NOT be in the Rumble, even if he signs with the company.

My Take: I think that Omega is going to work a deal where he can wrestle for All Elite Wrestling and NJPW. I think WWE is a longshot, but stranger things have happened. That is my gut feeling right now.
