Here are several of our predictions for the January 7th, 2019 episode of Monday Night RAW.
7) The Gene Okerlund Tribute Will Be Emotional
RAW this week will feature a tribute to Gene Okerlund, who passed away a few days ago.
The segment will feature Hulk Hogan. It will also likely feature another WWE legend (spoiler warning).
Regardless of how you feel about Hogan returning, a safe assumption is that this will be an emotional segment. Gene was a staple of WWE programming for so many years and there will be plenty of great memories being shared. His memorial video will likely be incredible. WWE usually knocks those out of the park.
Keep some tissues handy.
6) Lacey Evans Will Make Her Debut
WWE has been advertising the upcoming call-ups of several NXT Superstars for the past several weeks. This includes Lacey Evans.
I think that Lacey will make her WWE debut this week. My guess is that she is moving to RAW, so I think it would make sense to establish her on the brand before the Royal Rumble.
I am not exactly sure what she will do but I think that Lacey will appear on RAW this week.
5) Roode & Gable Will Retain Their RAW Tag Team Belts
A RAW Tag Team Title match has been confirmed for the episode. Chad Gable and Bobby Roode will put their belts on the line against the Revival in a Lumberjack match.
To me, it just seems too early for Roode and Gable to drop the belts. They only won them a couple of weeks ago and I could see them going on a decent run as Champions. I am also not confident that WWE will put the belts on the Revival based on their booking over the past several months.
I say that Roode and Gable will retain.
